Over the past few years, the young Slovenian basketball star has teamed up with Michael Jordan’s shoe company to create innovative designs exclusive to players. This time around, the Jordan brand has been working on a bold and lively makeover of its coveted Air Jordan 36 silhouettes.

The product description of the upcoming Luka PE Jordans on Nike official website reads as follows,

“The next step in the iconic Air Jordan franchise: a wearable expression of Luka’s energy on the court. With a minimalist yet durable design, it’s one of the lightest J’s to date. Equipped with a Full-length Zoom Air Strobel stacked on top of a forefoot Zoom Air unit, you’ll get elite energy return and responsiveness when you need it.Take the court confident that whatever you do, it is light work.

Most uppers have a blue build, adorned with pops of red, light green, purple, and white throughout. Dubbed “Electro Purple-Pink”, these colors add an extra touch to the complete design.

These ultra-lightweight pairs feature a gauze weave on the toes, which extends to the medial sides and finally meets at the heels of the shoes. These weaves add more elements of flexibility, which is explained by Nike as,

“The minimal yet durable gauze weave on the upper is reinforced with TPU tape and paired with a dynamic, flexible tongue for lightweight comfort.”

Blue tabs are perfectly complemented by speckled laces, which feature red detailing throughout. “Prime-electric green” hues further highlight the uppers to make them more intriguing. To the rear, the heel pull tabs feature the “Thirty-six” design woven across it, which is accompanied by Nike branding.

A full Strobel unit is integrated into the midsoles which will provide a lighter feel to the user resulting in a more efficient performance. The Strobel units are raised, with AirZoom units placed under them for better bounce. This is how Nike explained their unique unit setting,

“A full-length Strobel unit sits just under your foot to minimize weight, while a stacked Zoom Air unit below adds an extra burst of responsiveness off the dribble.”
