The Lake-Lehman School Board approves the purchase of sports equipment


LEHMAN TWP. — The Lake-Lehman School Board approved a sports expense and tabled another at Monday’s monthly meeting.

The board agreed to purchase a pole vault mat, standards and blanket from MF Athletics of West Warwick, Rhode Island, at a total cost of $21,495. But he filed a proposal for a new track from Keystone Sports Construction of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, at a cost of $15,950. No reason was given for filing the new striping.

In other actions, the council:

• Appointment of Luke Edwards in the Luzerne Intermediate Visiting Teacher Program as a per diem substitute teacher at $120 per day without benefits. The LIU provides a variety of services to districts across the region and has established the Visiting Teacher Program with the state to help people obtain short-term emergency certifications to address the shortage of substitute teachers. statewide.

• Accepted the resignation of elementary school music teacher Cameron King effective May 7th.

• Named Enrico Bartolini as Men’s Soccer Head Coach at $4,170, Paul Callahan as Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach at $2,648, Janine Kasarda as Field Hockey Assistant Coach at $3,393, Courtney Thomas as Coach assistant field hockey coach at $4,085, Tina Woronko as assistant varsity cross-country coach at $1,161, Miranda Parry as assistant varsity women’s volleyball coach at $2,043, and Thomas Motovidlak as assistant varsity coach at $2,043. varsity assistant golf coach at $1,195.

• Allowed free use of McGraw Hill’s Wonders 2023 as a pilot reading program for select 1st and 3rd grade classrooms.
